Specialty's management team is comprised of a dedicated group of individuals who have commercial finance experience spanning over 20 years, and whose backgrounds are uniquely qualified to provide our clients with unique financial products tailored to their debt, equity and world-wide project funding needs in the current commercial real estate market.

John Myers

As Managing Partner, Mr. Myers is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s day-to-day operations, including deal origination, debt, and equity underwriting, finalizing the structure for all debt and equity participation agreements, and overseeing the deal flow from inception to closing.  


With over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate financing sector, Mr. Myers has extensive experience in credit risk, structured finance, preferred equity, mezzanine financing, real estate acquisitions, asset management, loan origination, underwriting, asset valuation, construction rehabilitation, design, and development.


Before forming Specialty Mortgage Capital, Mr. Myers served as an investor investing in commercial and multifamily properties. Later entering the residential and commercial real estate lending market.


Mr. Myers attended school at Norwich University and the University of Rhode Island School of Engineering for electrical engineering.

Trevor Clarke

President & Head of Business Development

As President & Head of Business Development, Mr. Clarke handles all of Specialty Mortgage Capital's international operations, from structuring commercial development opportunities, debt & equity transactions, securing loan documentation, reviewing all project due diligence, transaction management, and assisting in the closing of all transactions. Mr. Clarke also oversees the international investment services at the firm.


Previously, Mr. Clarke consulted on major international infrastructure projects, including the Manila Waste Treatment & Medical Waste Plants, Philippines. Has successfully installed systems to promote Guyanese Natural Resources to the Asian markets and is a certified Loan Compliance Officer for Domestic & International transactions.

 

Mr. Clarke graduated from the Xerox School of Business with Certifications in Sales, Customer Service & Management, Herzing Technical Institute with a Certificate in Computer Technology, Ryerson for Computer Programming, and Dawson College in Business Management.

Stan Kastleman

Director of Operations

As Director of Operations, Mr. Kastleman oversees all aspects of the firm's commercial real estate function. He is responsible for planning and directing the firm's lending and investment policies and objectives. He monitors day-to-day operations and staff performance, providing recommendations for improvement.


Mr. Kastleman has been recognized as a top professional in sales, marketing, branding, merchandising, product development, and capital investment strategy in the commercial real estate finance and high-technology sectors. Beyond these sectors, Stan has vast knowledge and experience in the precious metals and stones industry, where he provided consulting services to institutions, companies, and individuals worldwide. 


Mr. Kastleman has knowledge and years of unparalleled experience in developing, training, and sustaining networks of people. He has over 30+ years of experience in financial services, commercial real estate development, and asset acquisitions. His background helps our clients navigate through the complex structures of commercial finance.

Joseph Ndite

Director - Africa Pacific

As Director for Africa, Mr. Ndite supervises all of Specialty Mortgage Capital's Africa operations, from negotiations with government officials to private entities for strategic investment and major project structuring. He conducts financial engineering and structuring using unconventional approaches that push boundaries and unlock global financial markets for developing countries in Africa.


He specializes in financial and engineering expertise, with a focus on working with global technical and financial partners to realize economic development projects in Africa and beyond. He has been mandated by some governmental and non-governmental organizations in Africa to secure funding and technical partners for the execution of their projects. 


To further strengthen his position in the sector of financial services and project funding, he has secured Mandates from global project lenders, Commodity trade authority, and financiers; Forex (USD) provider; financial services innovator and inventor; Investment strategist, Revolutionary debt elimination expert; bank instruments and Proof of fund providers, and determined to Pioneer African project lenders. Joseph is bold, breaking limitations and building on the shoulders of experience.
